Teams agree Smith solution

DANNY SMITH might be a bit confused about which side he is playing for when Deal take on Folkestone at the Charles Ground on Tuesday (7.45pm).

The left-winger has been trialing with Ryman League Invicta and, although Folkestone boss Neil Cugley hasn’t offered Smith a contract, the clubs have agreed Smith should sign both Kent League and Ryman League forms, and play for whichever club needs or wants him on a temporary basis.

Deal manager Derek Hares said: "We don’t want to stand in Danny’s way in his bid to play at a higher level, and we have been able to come to this arrangement with Folkestone because the two clubs play in different leagues."
