Teenage robbers punch victim in head

POLICE are appealing for information about an incident in which a 20-year-old man was punched in the head and ordered to hand over his mobile phone.

The victim was walking along South Street, Deal, at the junction with the high street, when he was attacked from behind by three teenage thugs. A friend with him was also assaulted.

The offenders then ran off towards Deal Castle. The mobile phone they stole is a SONY Ericsson V600i.

Police say the incident occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday.

The offenders are described as white and in their mid to late teens. They were all about 5ft 9in to 6ft tall and were wearing dark coloured tracksuits and hooded tops.

Police would also like to speak to two teenage girls, aged around 16 or 17, as they may have witnessed the incident. One of them had blonde hair.
