Dover played out a stalemate for the second time over the Bank Holiday weekend with a 0-0 draw at Sutton United on Monday afternoon.

Whites enjoyed more possession than the hosts but were endebted to an outstanding reflex save by Mikhael Ruiz in the Blue Square Bet South match.

Craig Dundas went close to an opener, heading off target as the hosts began brightly, while Harry Baker (pictured) tested the home keeper with a sidefoot effort midway through the first half.

Michael Corcoran went close to breaking the deadlock for the visitors before good link-up play between James Walker and Baker produced a fine save from the Sutton keeper.

Leroy Griffiths rattled the Whites crossbar from 30 yards shortly before the break with Ruiz beaten, while after the restart Baker opted to pass to George Purcell when well-placed when he might have been better shooting.

Purcell curled narrowly wide on the hour and Baker saw a shot blocked by the keeper's legs on the break, while at the other end Ruiz produced an instinctive stop to keep the deadlock intact 20 minutes from time after slack defending from Luke I'Anson in the box.

Whites lie seventh - one place below Sutton - and are already seven points adrift of early leaders Welling United.
