Deal rower James Morgan helped Great Britain to win a gold medal in the Adaptive Coxed Fours at the World Cup Regatta in Poznan, Poland.

Morgan and the rest of the GB crew knew it was vital to record a positive result in their last international race before the Beijing Paralympics in September.

In the final, the GB crew were clear favourites and didn’t disappoint, again leading by over four seconds at halfway. The crew continued to build on their lead and finished comfortable winners in 3 mins 33 seconds ahead of Germany (3.39) and Holland (3.40), in less favourable conditions.

GB Performance Director David Tanner was delighted with the crew’s performance, saying: "The Adaptive Coxed Four has really stepped on, that was pleasing to see."

Morgan now heads to Spain on a training camp as the crew continue their preparations for Beijing.
