Head teacher Graham Chisnell of Warden House School in Deal wins Evidence-Informed Leadership award

A head teacher has been awarded an educational gong that celebrates the quality of learning at his school.

Graham Chisnell was presented the award for Evidence-Informed Leadership at the Cambridge Primary Review Trust (CPRT) annual conference at the headquarters of the National Union of Teachers in London.

He said: “It is a deep privilege to receive this national award in recognition of the commitment to evidence-informed leadership."

He added: “Every pupil, governor and member of staff at Warden House should feel proud of this award, which reflects the amazing research undertaken by all.

“This is another fine example of what makes Warden House such an exciting place in which to live, learn and work.”

The award was presented by Dr Robin Alexander, Fellow of Wolfson College at Cambridge University, and Julie McCullock from the Association of School and College Lecturers.

The selection panel said Mr Chisnell was selected from a very strong field of nominees, and his whole-school approach to evidence-informed leadership was exceptional.
