Dover remain unbeaten at home but they drew in front of the Crabble faithful for the third time this season in Blue Square Bet South on Saturday.

Whites were held by visiting Basingstoke and remain seventh in Blue Square Bet South.

Basingstoke's David Pratt had the first chance but his scuffed effort was comfortably saved by keeper Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz while at the other end, Steve Watt's header went wide.

The visitors hit the woodwork midway through the first half when Pratt's header was deflected onto the bar by Starkey on the line and Tim Sills then missed a simple chance to put Basingstoke ahead.

Dover came back into the game but Billy Bricknell's long-range effort was parried out by keeper Ashley Bayes, who also denied George Purcell.

It was all Dover after the break as Basingstoke held on for the point. Harry Baker fired just wide for Dover while Tom Wynter provided plenty of attacking threat from left-back, although the hesitancy that has hindered them at Crabble so far this season was again evident to see.

Dover boss Martin Hayes (pictured) introduced Glen Southam but he dragged his shot wide from a good opening and Baker again failed to hit the target
