A campaign has been launched to make Deal a Poop Free Zone and put a stop to the amount of dog mess in public areas.
Deal Town Council is in fighting mood in its drive to stop the fouling and there will be posters and flyers displayed through the town centre and at popular dog walking areas, including the seafront, to raise awareness.
On Friday the local authority has its second Dog Awareness Day in the town hall undercroft in the High Street, from 10am until 1pm, when there will be free micro-chipping, dog health checks and information about the council’s campaign.
It is led by Cllr David Cronk, who has been in the pedestrian precinct handing out leaflets and posters to promote the Poop Free Zone and telling town centre visitors about the event and campaign.
