Deal men’s 1sts enjoyed a 3-1 win at home to Old Bordenians in Kent Premier A.

The hosts controlled the game from the start and only excellent work from the Old Bordenians keeper kept the scores level.

The second half saw Deal take control again and apply pressure on the Old Bordenians’ defence on numerous occasions.

Great play for the midfield line during open play saw Phillips receive the ball in the goal area and score the opener.

This was shortly followed by Dyer’s strike before Old Bordenians scored from a short corner when the shot deflected high off Shape’s stick.

Deal responded and earned a short-corner where Spanton hammered the ball home.
