Daniel remembered

Charity run
Charity run

A big heartfelt thank you to the people of Deal for their understanding and kindness as been made by the family of Daniel Dunster, who was found dead in public toilets in Dover.

On Saturday more than 100 people of all ages took part in a charity event to raise cash for the Demelza Hospice Care for Children in memory of the 30-year-old, who was described by friends as ‘a beautiful angel’.

Daniel’s father Martin, who has homes in Deal and Spain, said: "I was dreading the run for different reasons. There was nothing more depressing than Daniel’s funeral and burial in the rain.

"But the sun came out on Saturday when we tried to make something good out of something bad. We have raised about £4,000, which is brilliant.

"Daniel wasn’t strong enough mentally or physically to fight his problems, but he was a good lad for all this faults.

"I would like to thank everyone for being so kind and understanding and for just being there on Saturday too."
