Olly Schulz hit a second half winner to give Dover all three points at Braintree in Blue Square South on Saturday.

Whites boss Andy Hessenthaler named an unchanged side and included on-loan Gillingham striker Luis Cumbers on the bench.

There were chances at either end in the opening minutes when Adam Birchall had a shot blocked and Nicky Southall made a good tackle to prevent Whites from falling behind.

The visitors went a goal down just before the half-hour mark when when Matt Game's curling 20 yard shot beat keeper Scott Flitney and went into the net.

But they responded in the best possible fashion when Southall’s corner was nodded into the far corner of the net by Birchall two minutes later.

Whites had a succession of corners just before the hour mark that they should have scored from, before seeing a penalty appeal for handball turned down after 74 minutes.

Having got his side's opening goal, Birchall then turned creator for Whites’ winner when he chipped the ball into to Schulz (pictured) who turned it home after 79 minutes.
