A 12-year-old boy has been arrested after a stone was thrown at a bus in Dover. A toddler was showered by glass.

Police were called to Melbourne Avenue on Wednesday evening, April 21, following the incident.

A window on the bus was shattered when the stone was thrown and the glass went over a two-year-old boy who was sitting next to it with his parents. No-one was injured.

Police said a 12-year-old local boy was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and had been released on bail pending further enquiries.

There were reports that the damage had been caused by a gun shot, but this was denied by the police.
