Welling manager Andy Ford has strengthened his squad with the signing of two players over the weekend.

Ford has agreed terms with young midfielder Jack Parkinson, who joins from VCD, along with defender Graeme Andrews, who moves from Bearsted.

The Wings boss has known Andrews for a number of years and he is hoping he follows in the footsteps of Rob Owen and Danny Lye, who both make the step up from Bearsted during Ford's time with Gravesend & Northfleet.

Welling continued their pre-season with a 5-2 win at Ramsgate on Saturday, Charlie Sheringham's brace were his first goals in a Wings shirt.

The Wings travel to Erith Town on Monday night, although supporters are advised that the match will be played at Thamesmead Town's Bayliss Avenue ground.

The draw for the first round of the London Senior Cup has handed Welling an away tie at VCD, with the winners hosting Mauritius Sports or Barking in the second round.
