Welling v Fisher

Welling's bright start to the Blue Square South season will be tested to the full on Monday after a bruising encounter at Thurrock.

The Wings picked up three injuries at Ship Lane and all three players are not expected to make the home clash with Fisher.

Graeme Andrews has a dead leg, Joe Healey picked up an ankle knock and Sonny Cobbs was struggling with a hamstring injury.

Manager Andy Ford admitted: "The squad will come into effect now.

"There will be some changes on Monday and players that have not featured much so far will get their chance.

"People looked at the two games over the weekend and said that playing two teams down the bottom will be easy.

"But we know football doesn't work like that and Fisher will be a really difficult game.

"The win at Thurrock has given us more confidence and belief and it's important to build on that."

Seb Schoburgh, who played in the reserves' 2-1 defeat to Deal, will be back in the squad along with Ryan Johnson, who played 90 minutes for former club Sittingbourne on Saturday under dual-registration terms.
