Dartford FC boss Tony Burman looking forward to Oxford City trip after dramatic win over Weston-super-Mare

Dartford boss Tony Burman says his players are in good spirits ahead of Tuesday night's clash with Oxford City.

Late goals on Saturday earned the Darts a 2-1 win over Weston-super-Mare at Princes Park and they make the trip west sitting 10th in Vanarama National League South.

Oxford, who were moved sideways from Conference North in the summer, are third and have lost only one of their nine matches so far but Burman believes the weekend's events will have boosted Dartford.

He said: "It was a good result for us in a very important week. We go into double-figures in games by the middle of the week and everyone looks at things after 10 or 11 games.

"It was a good start to a very important week for us. It’ll do them good, to get back coming from 1-0 down, to get back into the game, regardless of what happened during the game.

"It puts us into a good frame of mind going to a team that are third in the league on Tuesday night.

"There’s going to be no easy games. It’s a fair trip for us to make in midweek but we’re in good spirits now to go into that game."

Full-back Lee Burns is available for selection after missing the Weston game through suspension.
