DARTFORD begin life at their brand new, state-of-the-art Princes Park stadium with a Ryman League Division 1 South fixture against Horsham YMCA on Saturday.

Manager and club director Tony Burman believes it could herald a return to the footballing good times.

He said: "It’s great to finally have our own ground. For the football club it means that it will be in existence for a long, long time.

"Such a magnificent stadium is just breathtaking."

All 4,100 tickets for the Princes Park opener sold out within three weeks.

Burman added: "Horsham are going to be excited as well, and I just hope both teams put on a really good game on Saturday – with Dartford winning, obviously!"
