Addicks boss Alan Pardew has signed Linvoy Primus on loan

Linvoy Primus' on-off loan deal from Portsmouth to Charlton was finally resolved on Thursday.

Primus has agreed a three-month move to The Valley after Pompey boss Harry Redknapp originally decided not to let the 34-year-old centre-back join for the whole season.

Primus told Portsmouth's official website: "I have a connection to Charlton and I'm also going to be close to my family.

"It's a great opportunity for me to play football at a high standard, with a club who have ambitions and are moving forward.

"It's a chance for me to get fit - match fit that is - and to play regular football."
