Tony Burman prepares for two games in three days over Easter, describing it as a "tough and telling" weekend for Dartford’s Ryman League Premier Division play-off fortunes.

Darts visit sixth-placed Wealdstone at Ruislip on Saturday and then host Canvey on Monday, looking for two wins to stay in contention as the log-jam among the chasing pack shows no signs of easing.

Boss Burman said: "Easter will be a tough and telling time and if we do manage to get six points, you never know what might happen.

"We are still not completely out of it and hopefully our luck will change because the last month has not been kind to us. The play-offs are still wide open."

Wealdstone’s unbeaten six-game run came to an end with a 2-1 defeat to Maidstone last weekend and Burman added: "Both clubs have been winning games but it’s a long time since we won one ourselves."

The position should be much clearer by Tuesday, with everybody playing twice over Easter but Darts have mixed news on the player front.

Injured pair Rob Haworth and Ryan Hayes returned to the bench at Sutton last weekend and Lee Noble is set for a possible return having been sidelined by hamstring trouble.

However, Jamie Day is banned and James White is doubtful with a recurrence of ankle trouble.

Burman is particularly aggrieved by Day’s enforced absence. He said: "In my view he was wrongly sent-off against Hornchurch, a poor decision by the referee, which presents another hurdle and again stops me picking from a full squad."
