Charlton are expected to confirm the departure of first team coach Mark Robson.

Robson, 39, has been conspicuous by his absence at pre-season training and the club's two friendlies at Bromley on Tuesday and Welling on Wednesday night.

Robson graduated from player, having made 123 appearances for the Addicks, to assistant academy manager in 2000 and lead the club's Under-18s to the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup in 2202-03. His rise through the ranks saw him appointed reserve team coach in 2006.

Following Alan Pardew's appointment as manager in 2006 he was given the job of first team coach.
