Danny Green fired a stoppage-time winner as Charlton Athletic came from behind to secure a Boxing Day victory at Yeovil in League 1.

The Addicks fell behind after just eight minutes when Tottenham loanee Jon Obika spectacularly found the net with a volley after the visitors failed to clear a free-kick.

Danny Hollands headed Athletic level on 16 minutes when he connected with a corner taken by Green, pictured, but the Glovers re-took the lead five minutes into the second half when Paul Huntington converted another corner, this time from Ed Upson.

Yann Kermorgant’s rich vein of form continued when he smashed in a free-kick to make it 2-2 on the hour with his third goal in five games, but Green was the hero when he lashed in the winner in the second minute of added time as Charlton ended a run of two straight draws.

The Addicks have an eight-point lead over second-placed Sheffield Wednesday and a nine-point gap to third-placed MK Dons.
