Woman spotted walking along part of the Dartford Crossing

A woman caused alarm after being spotted walking along part of the Dartford Crossing.

Police had to partially close the highway while she was picked up from the A282 near to the junction with the M25.

It happened just after 4pm.

A police spokesman said there were concerns for the welfare of the woman, who was examined at the scene by medical staff.

He added she had been taken into the care of health professionals.
