A MAJOR warehouse fire beside the M25 is continuing to cause case major traffic problems in North West Kent. Part of the motorway is still closed today.

Queues stretched back to junction four of the M25 at Orpington today as one of the tunnels at Dartford remained closed to traffic.

Firefighters using eight pumps battled the blaze which broke out at about 8.50am on Sunday at the Eagle Global Logistics warehouse on the Dolphin Industrial Estate at Purfleet in Essex. At its height, around 40 firefighters from Essex and East London were at the scene.

Firefighters say they could still be damping down the fire for the next two days. On Sunday,a 27-mile diversion was in place.
