Two hunted after kitchen knife attack

A MAN was robbed at knifepoint in a terrifying lunchtime attack. The 40-year-old victim was stopped by two men in a red Citroen at the junction of Overy Street with Mount Pleasant Road in Dartford.

The passenger of the vehicle got out and asked for directions and then pushed the victim to the ground and held a kitchen knife to his chest.

At this point the driver of the car got out and began to search him. The two men took £300 from their victim before getting back into the car and driving off towards East Hill.

Shortly before the attack, the victim had walked down Station Approach, across the footbridge into the car park of Wickes.

The two attackers were white men aged between 30 and 35 who spoke with Irish accents and wore light blue jeans. One had black curly hair and the other had short, dark brown hair and moles on his face.

DC Mick Hartley said, "This incident has caused a great deal of distress to the victim and I would urge anyone who may have seen this incident or the red Citroen to contact Dartford Police immediately."

North Kent Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident which happened at 12.45pm on Friday.
