Teenager charged after man robbed in Jackson's Field, Rochester following reports of group confrontation

A man allegedly had his bag stolen after being threatened by a group of people in a park.

The victim, who was walking across the park, called the police and patrols searching the area arrested three teenage boys in Military Road, Chatham.

A 17-year-old boy from the same area was later charged with robbery.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday where he was bailed to appear at Folkestone Youth Court on May 9.

Two teenage boys who were also arrested on suspicion of robbery were released pending further investigation.
