Dartford Tunnel reopens but traffic remains as broken-down van blocked two lanes on M25 anticlockwise

A tunnel has reopened but traffic remains after a broken-down van blocked two lanes towards a river crossing.

Traffic was queuing for six miles due to the M25 anticlockwise towards the Dartford Tunnel from junction 1a towards Lakeside and Purfleet.

Congestion also grew after junction 3 near the Swanley Interchange.

The right-hand tunnel has now reopened following the earlier incident - the smaller left has always been open.

Emergency services have been asked for more information.
