Charlton scored twice inside the opening seven minutes but conceded twice shortly after half time to draw 2-2 at Sheffield Wednesday.

The Addicks - playing for the final time under caretaker manager Keith Peacock before new boss Chris Powell takes over the reigns on Monday - travelled to Wednesday with just one point separating the two sides.

Midfielder Scott Wagstaff (pictured, left) opened the scoring with just four minutes gone before Johnnie Jackson fired home from the penalty spot moments later.

Charlton retained their 2-0 lead until two minutes after half time, when Owls striker Paul Heffernan halved the deficit.

Jamaican midfielder Jermaine Johnson's 52nd-minute equaliser then levelled the score at 2-2.

The result sees Charlton drop out of the npower League One play-off places, although the London club have a game in hand over Southampton, Bournemouth and MK Dons above them, and two over Huddersfield.
