Police presence at funeral

A HEAVY police presence was visible at the funeral of William Lee in St Mary Cray today.

More than 200 people turned out for the funeral at St Mary's Church in the High Street at 1pm.

A police helicopter and more than 20 officers circled the scene and traffic was diverted away from the area for a period.

Mr Lee, 51, from Sutton-at-Hone, Dartford, Kent suffered an injury outside his home and died three days later.

Samuel Powell, 22, Jimmy Powell, 23, and Philip Powell, 25, of Star Lane, St Mary Cray are accused of murder and are due back in court on November, 26.
