Police name 'mystery' road accident victim

THE victim of a fatal road accident has been named after Kent Police struggled to identify him for almost a week.

He has been identified as 63-year-old pedestrian Graham Turrell, of Lowfield Street, Dartford. He died from his injuries following the late-night incident in the town's Westgate Road.

The teenage female driver of the car involved was also taken to Darent Valley Hospital. She was uninjured but suffered shock.

Mr Turrell is believed to have only been living in Dartford for a couple of weeks before his death. Before that he lived in Brighton.

An inquest into his death has been opened and adjourned by the north Kent coroner Roger Hatch.
