Police appeal for information on how woman found in The Green, Dartford, suffered injuries

A woman was found injured and in an apparent distressed state by police in Dartford in the early hours.

Officers discovered the woman, in her 20s, after being called to The Green near Darent Valley Hospital at 3.22am yesterday following reports of concern for her welfare.

She was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

Police are now appealing for information as part of their investigation into how she suffered her injuries, details of which have not been revealed.

They tweeted at the time in response to social media comments that the area had been taped off that they were investigating an assault.

The woman had been in Crayford earlier in the evening.
