CHARLTON boss Alan Pardew has targeted the trip to Old Trafford on February 10 for a possible return for injured striker Darren Bent.

The England foward sustained a strained ligament to his knee against Aston Villa and there were fears he may face a longer than expected spell on the sidelines.

But Pardew said: "I honestly believe that if Darren was in the team we'd have beaten Middlesbrough, in terms of the effort and the chances we created.

"The target date for him could well be Manchester United; he'll certainly be here for the West Ham game.

"Luke Young has trained well this week, he's been running. They are both big players for this club and we need them back."
