Motorway closed as crews attend medical incident on M25 near Dartford

A man has been taken to hospital after a medical emergency on the M25 this afternoon.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the incident at on the southbound carriageway at Junction 2, Darenth Interchange, just before 2pm.

Traffic was briefly held while crews attended and the road has since been reopened.

Further delays have been caused by an accident involving five cars on the A2 eastbound, with traffic reportedly queuing from B255 Bean Lane to A2260 Southfleet Road.

Nationals Highways says there are three-miles of congestion with delays of around 30 minutes.
