Masked robbers raid steal cash from Longfield bank

Robbers have fled with a building society cash box.

The late night break in happened at the Nationwide Building Society in Longfield around 10pm on Monday, as security guards were filling cash machines.

Two men in dark clothing and wearing balaclavas smashed windows at the Station Road branch and forced their way in.

They took a cash box before driving off in a black BMW car.

The two men drove a short distance to Langafal Close, Longfield, where they tried to prize open the cash box, but set off the security dye.

They left the box, hammer and the BMW, before making off in a silver Audi that had been parked next to garages in Langafal Close.
