Coroner names Liam Rogerson as man killed in Crossways Boulevard in Greenhithe on Christmas Eve

The man killed in the crash in Crossways Boulevard on Christmas Eve was Liam Rogerson, North Kent coroner’s office confirmed this week.

The 28-year-old, from Houghton-le-Spring, County Durham, died after being hit by a black Vauxhall Corsa on a pedestrian crossing at about 6pm.

He had travelled to Kent that morning with his brother Niall to spend Christmas with their sister Faye.

A JustGiving page has been set up in his name to raise money to pay for funeral expenses.

The car was later found in Bexleyheath.

A man aged 22 and a woman aged 20, both from Dartford, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision and perverting the course of justice.

They have been bailed until May 1.
