Man killed in Dartford Crossing road horror

A KENT man died when he was in a collision with two vehicles after he broke down on the M25.

Police say the 63-year-old victim got out of his Vauxhall Nova when it broke down across two lanes on the southbound approach to the Dartford Crossing at 7.45pm on Friday.

He was then in a collision with a blue Ford Transit van and a grey Citroen Xara Picasso.

He was taken by ambulance to Darent Valley Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Traffic was diverted through the tunnel in both directions to cut congestion.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police on 01279 621804.
