A man has been charged with four offences after a 20-year-old was killed when a car crashed into the vehicle she was in.
Darcy Bruce-Lawrence died at the scene of the collision in East Hill, Dartford, after the black Vauxhall Meriva she was in with her mum, Donna Bruce, was hit by a black VW Touareg.
Now, officers from the serious collision investigation unit have charged Ayemhere Godwin Ohue with causing death by dangerous driving.
The 39-year-old of Church Road, Greenhithe, has also been charged with causing death by careless driving and driving while uninsured as well as causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He was bailed to attend Medway Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, March 24.
Paramedics were called to the scene after the collision at around 11.45pm on Friday, June 28, but Darcy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Darcy, daughter of the late Tony Lawrence, from Dartford, is survived by her three brothers, baby sister, stepfather Darren Newsome and her partner Ben Jones.
At the time of her death, her family paid tribute to their "beautiful girl" after what they described as "an unending bad dream".
The family of Darcy Burce-Lawrence said: “We are pleased the wheels of justice are now turning - but as you will understand, this is a hugely difficult time for us and all who loved Darcy.
"Although time has passed it would be true to say we are still very much a family in grief; still recovering.
"We ask that while the criminal justice process continues our privacy is respected. We will of course comment further and more fully at a later date, when proceedings have come to an end.
"We would like to extend our gratitude once again to everyone who supported us and continues to uphold our family."
A GoFundMe page was set up after the tragic incident to help raise money for funeral costs and generated more than £18,000.
The morning after the crash floral tributes lined the streets with cards and a teddy-bear.
