A car transporter and lorry were involved in a multi-vehicle collision near Dartford.

Two other cars were also in the crash on the clockwise carriageway of the M25 after J1A A282 Dartford Crossing (Swanscombe), just before 11.45am.

One lane was closed and traffic was queuing back to Junction 30 for Lakeside / Tilbury.

Lane one (of four) remains closed at the end of the entry slip road, for recovery work following the collision.

Traffic was held briefly while all vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder.

Police confirmed they were called at 11.43am to a report of a collision involving four vehicles on the M25 near to junction 1A.

No injuries were believed to have been reported and police attendance was not required.
