Delays have since cleared.

An Essex Police spokesman said the crash at 8.10am involved a silver Ford S-Max car and a motorcycle on the A282 junction.

Both tunnels were shut in the aftermath of the crash, but had reopened by 9.30am.

No one was seriously hurt.
