Dartford capitalised on defeats for two other top sides as they cruised to a 4-1 win at Havant & Waterlooville in Blue Square Bet South on Saturday.

Matt Jones lashed an early chance over the bar but it took just 21 minutes for the Darts to open the scoring when Elliot Bradbrook went on a surging run forward which ended with the Dartford skipper slipping the ball under the keeper to make it 1-0.

It was 2-0 shortly before the half-hour when Danny Harris beat the keeper with a superb lob which saw his side go in 2-0 ahead at the break.

Bradbrook (pictured) went close to his second around the hour mark when he saw an effort blocked on the line, but within three minutes the hosts had halved the deficit with a goal from Scott Jones after Darts keeper Louis Wells failed to hold a corner from Craig Braham-Barrett.

The visitors restored their two-goal advantage 16 minutes from time through Harris' second and Lee Noble rounded-off the scoring in the final minute when a curling free-kick drifted into the corner with Bradbrook in close attendance.

There was still time for Tom Bonner to threaten a fifth with a long-range blast.

With defeats for leaders Woking and second-placed Chelmsford the win left Dartford fourth, two points behind Welling who are now second, knowing they could replace them if they win their game in hand.
