Six fire engines called to car fire in the Dartford Tunnel

Six fire engines were called to the Dartford Tunnel this morning after a car caught alight.

Two crews from Dartford, one from Thameside and a further three from Essex were called to the west bore tunnel just after 4am.

The tunnel was closed for an hour and a half whilst crews put out the blaze.

Nobody was injured in the fire.
