Firefighters rescue man from blaze

A man was treated for the effects of smoke inhalation after a fire in his Dartford home.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the blaze at a flat in Bridges Drive at around 2.30am on Sunday.

Firefighters used a ladder to rescue the man, who was in his 30s. He was treated at the scene and was not taken to hospital.

Fire crews had left the scene before 4am.
