The brakes of a lorry overheated this morning, causing commuters to be stuck in traffic just outside the Dartford tunnel.

Firefighters from Dartford attended the lorry, just outside the East Tunnel, at 8.03am.

They used a hose reel jet to cool the brakes down and prevent them going up in flames.

Fire crews left the scene at 8:24 but traffic is still backed up on the M25 anti-clockwise.
