Louis Wells is hoping to be fit to face in-form Farnborough at Princes Park on Saturday.

The Dartford goalkeeper has been receiving treatment this week after suffering hip and thigh injuries in the Blue Square Bet South win at Tonbridge and boss Tony Burman expects him to recover in time.

However, the Darts boss maintains he will have no qualms about naming youngster Deren Ibrahim if Wells doesn’t make it.

Burman (pictured) said: "We will assess Louis at training on Thursday but Deren is an excellent keeper.

"He came on with 15 minutes to go on Saturday and won’t let us down. I’ll have no problems whatsoever in playing him if I have to."

Skipper Elliot Bradbrook and Lee Burns have both trained this week and could be in contention for a return against Farnborough after injury, while Lee Noble (flu) has recovered.

The Hampshire side have won their last six matches and Burman is expecting them to be no pushovers.

He said: "They had a points deduction but won at Eastleigh last week which is a hard place to go and have six victories out of seven.

"These are the matches we need to pick up points from but it will be tough."
