Derby 1 Charlton 0

Charlton slipped to yet another defeat as Derby secured their place in the Championship for next season on Saturday.

The decisive goal came on 70 minutes when Rams player of the year Rob Hulse produced a cute glancing header to turn in Barry Bannan's cross.

The already-relegated Addicks played with plenty of freedom but ultimately failed to create many clear-cut chances.

Nicky Bailey (pictured right) had two first-half efforts saved in quick succession, while Deon Burton headed Jonjo Shelvey's corner over from close range just before the break.

In the second half, Shelvey had one shot blocked and saw another fly over and Zheng Zhi sent two long range drives wide of Stephen Bywater's goal.
