New Charlton Athletic manager Chris Powell has made striker Bradley Wright-Phillips his first signing.

The Addicks have signed the 25-year-old forward on an initial 18-month contract from Plymouth Argyle for an undisclosed fee.

Powell said: "I am very happy to have a player of his calibre joining our squad."

Wright-Phillips has scored 13 goals for Plymouth this season, including one against Charlton in October.

"I'm delighted to join Charlton," said Wright-Phillips. "It's a club which I'm sure is heading in the right direction, and as soon as I spoke to the manager, I knew I wanted to be a part of it."
