Johnnie Jackson salvaged a point for Charlton Athletic and maintained their unbeaten league record with a 1-1 draw with Tranmere Rovers at The Valley in League 1 on Saturday.
The Addicks captain (pictured) converted from the spot 11 minutes from time to cancel out a first-half opener from Adam McGurk which deflected past Ben Hamer in the Addicks goal.
McGurk's long range effort took a wicked deflection off Chris Solly and gave Rovers a deserved lead on 33 minutes.
Tranmere keeper Owain Fon Williams was untroubled until the second half when he almost allowed a Dale Stephens shot to creep under him and blocked a Bradley Wright-Phillips shot with his head.
The hosts piled on more and more pressure as the game wore on and Ash Taylor was eventually penalised for a foul in his own box amid a scramble on 78 minutes and Jackson kept his cool to slam home.
Wright-Phillips almost won it for the Addicks, but hooked a late effort straight at Fon Williams.
