Traffic has been held on a motorway following an oil spill and car fire.
The ongoing incident happened this afternoon on the M25 QE2 Bridge, clockwise, between Junction 31 and Junction 1A for Dartford.
Emergency services are at the scene and drivers have been warned to expect long delays.
There was initially more than three miles of congestion on the approach, National Highways said in a tweet.
One driver says she has been stuck for hours "in 30 degree heat with three kids in the car" as she attempts to get home to Kent. She started queuing at 6pm.
Highways bosses say the oil spill is being assessed.
Meanwhile, all traffic will run through the Dartford Tunnel which has a height limit of 5 meters.
Traffic was held on both sides while a contraflow was put into place to allow two-way traffic through the tunnel.
