Traffic at standstill on M25 following crash involving car and lorry

Traffic has been brought to standstill on the M25 this morning following a crash near Dartford.

Drivers were facing delays following the accident involving several vehicles including a car and a lorry between J1B for Dartford and J1A for Swanscombe.

Highways England confirmed on Twitter they were dealing with the accident with the help of police.

Kent Police confirmed they were called at 10am to a report of a collision reported to involve several vehicles, on the A282 London-bound.

Officers attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service and police say no serious injuries have been reported.

They said the incident did cause an obstruction in the carriageway but the scene is now reported to be clear.
