Dartford were forced to settle for a replay against Canvey Island after their FA Cup third qualifying round tie ended 2-2 draw at the Brockwell Stadium on Saturday.

The home side took an early lead when Danny Heale headed the ball home at the back post after seven minutes.

Darts had a goal disallowed four minutes later after Carl Rook was adjudged to have committed a fouled in area.

Rook then hit the bar after 34 minutes as Tony Burman’s (pictured) side started to dominate the game but went into the break behind.

The visitors were unable to draw level until after 70 minutes when Danny Harris was brought down in the penalty area and Ryan Hayes scored from the spot-kick.

Darts went in front five minutes later when Elliot Bradbrook got on the end of James White’s cross and headed the ball home at the far post.

But just when it looked like Darts were through keeper Andy Young brought down a Canvey forward in the area and the home side scored the resulting penalty to take the teams back to Princes Park on Tuesday.

Bromley and Chelmsford will also have to do it all again. Their game also finished 2-2.
