Can you put a name to this face?

AN IMAGE has been issued by north Kent police of a man they would like to identify in connection with their investigations into a bogus caller incident.

Police say that at about 7.30pm on Monday, July 2, a 95-year-old woman opened the front door of her home in Phoenix Place, Dartford, to a stranger.

The caller asked the woman if she had a Thompson phone directory, and when she said she did, he then further distracted her by asking for a glass of water.

By the time she returned with the drink, the caller has already helped himself to £600 in cash, plus other items.

The caller was male, white, aged about 35, and slim with straight mousey-brown coloured hair. He wore a light grey or blue puffed style jacket, dark grey trousers and was carrying a blue canvas drawstring bag containing directories.

If you recognise the person in this e-fit, or have information which may help police with their inquiries, call Sgt Kaye Braybrook at Gravesend police station on 01474 565220 or Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
