Bus driver punched and robbed

A 52-year-old bus driver was punched in the face and robbed by a thug who escaped with £50.

Police say the incident happened when the bus driver stopped at Home Gardens, Dartford, and opened the doors to allow for some air to flow through.

The robber approached the cab and asked for money. The driver asked what he wanted money for and the thug then punched him in the face.

The offender reached over and took a bag of money containing £50 in coins. He drove off a small Rover car.

The victim was taken to Dartford's Darent Valley Hospital where he was treated for bruising to his face and cuts to his mouth.
