Armed police called to Dartford street after reports of man with weapons

Armed officers were called to a residential street in Dartford after reports of a man in possession of weapons.

Police say they were called to Berkeley Crescent at around 7.40pm yesterday, due to concerns for a man believed to have weapons inside a house.

Officers supported by armed patrols attended and arrested a 36-year-old man.

Two air weapons were also recovered from the scene.

People living nearby said five police cars, a dog unit and an ambulance attended.

Inquiries are continuing.
